Egypt has just two seasons - Winter and Summer. Winter lasts from November to April. It is typically mild and sometimes rainy, with sunny days and cold nights. But traveller should prepare for the chilly winds that blow across the desert at sunrise and sunset. Summer in Egypt runs from May to October. It is always hot and dry inland, sweltering in Cairo, and humid along the Mediterranean coast. In Egypt, the seasons differ only in daytime temperatures and wind changes.
